Rachel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Affairs. After Wisconsin, Rachel attended Brooklyn Law School, where she was the executive symposium editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. Rachel was also a member of the Brooklyn Entertainment and Sports Law Society, the Intellectual Property Law Associate and the Jewish Law Students Association.

While in law school, Rachel gained experience in a variety of practice areas through internships at Czik Law PLLC, the New York City Civil Court Consumer Law Clinic, and the chambers of the Honorable Devin P. Cohen in Kings County Civil Court. As a third-year law student, Rachel obtained a two-year fellowship with the New York City Law Department in their Brooklyn Tort Division. She spent her final year of law school working at the New Law Department for credit instead of attending classes. Her duties included defending the City of New York in tort litigation in such cases as false arrest, trip-and-fall, slip-and-fall, and negligent supervision. Rachel negotiated discovery and court deadlines with opposing counsel and drafted court filings such as motions for summary judgment, discovery demands, and conference orders. She also conducted over 100 depositions where she both defended city witnesses and deposed plaintiffs.

Upon graduating from Brooklyn Law School Rachel continued her fellowship with the Law Department, where she performed the duties of an Assistant Corporation Counsel. She developed and executed trial strategies and conferenced cases with court staff as part of the trial and second-seat rotation program offered.

Most recently, Rachel served as the Assistant Law Clerk to the Honorable Devin P. Cohen in Kings County Supreme Court. There, she evaluated court filings such as motion papers, ex parte applications, and proposed judgments. She drafted bench memos on fully-briefed motions, and drafted both short form and long form orders for the Judge to review. She coordinated motion calendars and conferred with counsel to resolve procedural disputes. Rachel also drafted opening and closing jury charges and verdicts sheets for trials. Rachel was also responsible for developing and executing strategies for handling virtual court appearances during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Rachel started as a litigation associate at Alan Ripkia & Associates LLP in 2021. Rachel primarily workings on medical malpractice cases. Rachel is licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
