Michelle “Misha” Yakobi is a second-year law student at the Shepard Broad College of Law [Nova Southeastern University] in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Before attending law school, she graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Political Science. Her love for law began when she interned with a judge at the Miami-Dade County Criminal Courthouse in high school; within those few years, she also interned for an immigration attorney at his law firm in Hallandale Beach, FL, where she polished her Russian-speaking skills by helping the firm’s Russian-speaking clientele. And in the first two years of college, she interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she got hands-on experience from case intake to trial. After all her years of schooling and interning, she is excited to finally become an attorney and zealously represent clients while positively impacting the legal field and living out her dream.
